Heat Wave

All in all, heat wave was a very interesting movie. This movie taught me a lot about how back in the 60's, most things were determined on the color of a persons skin. Not just that, but i learned what kind of a journalist Bob Richardson was. Bob was a very out going and determined person, he would go and get exactly what he needed and would not take no for an answer. As an example, when a black reporter was needed to go and investigate what was happening with the watts riots he saw that opportunity and jumped at it and would not leave until the answer was not a no.

Who am I?

My name is Miranda Ortiz and I am a senior at Bell High School. I have been on the swim team for the past 3 years and currently starting my 4th and final year swimming competitively in High School. Not only have I swam for these past 3 years but before I became a swimmer I had played soccer and softball for most of my childhood. I grew up with a brother 2 years older than me and we shared a room for most of the time growing up. Because of this I am very close to older brother and i believe since he is my only sibling it is the reason i grew up so involved in sports.
